JBHHH RUN NO: 2178 (21/07/2010)

TANGKI AIR – ULU TIRAM, JOHOR

Time 1729hours:
Standing at the punch-card reader, holding my punch-card ready to punch out. Exactly 1730hrs punched out and ran like mad to my car - 280. (not BENZ but Iswara). Drove like F1, Mika Hakkinen and the speedometer reached 200km per hour. At the highway (Senai – Desaru), raining heavily. Thank goodness, reached Ulu Tiram, only drizzling.

Time:1815hours.
Reached run-site, run already started. Quickly changed and started walking. Due to my knee injuries (injured during my MTB ride, doing a downhill), I have to walk slowly.

As I walked to check-in my name, to my surprised “Cepat Masuk” told me, “a…Gong-Gong, your beautiful name I already ticked lah” Wah this lady really pandai lah. I continued walking and asked “Killer Heng”, where is the trail, he told me to turn left and be “Pandai-Pandai” so that I will not “hilang” inside the palm estate.

Time: 2010hours.
Circle started without our gorgeous, fantastic, incredible and wonderful GM. Due to the run is long and tough; a lot of hashers were late for the circle. JointMaster – Mr. Flinstone took over the floor for Swing Low. As usual, our JACK ASS is M.I.A (missing-in-action). So our Ex-Whip – Mr. Handsome has to put-up his famous whip and iced those offenders one by one. New member Mr. Big Potato (Mongol’s successor) innocently was put on ice for some peanuts which he never ate found in front of his sitting place. Coming member – Jockey (JB Bicycle HASH GM) was on ice also for some offences happened at Jerantut.

As our incredible and gorgeous GM took the floor, Flinstone was on ice for some offences. Circle closed with Baba Chong singing his famous song. “Geylang sipaku Geylang etc…"

Time: 2130hours.
ON ON at Johor Jaya LIM LIM LIM CAFÉ or “Minum Minum Minum Kafe”. Minum apa? Minum CARSLBERG lah. Battalion of hashers gathered at the corner of the shop to have free and self-service ice-cream. Delicious food and most importantly CARLBERG were served. RM10/- per head were collected for the makan makan sambil HAPPY HAPPY. Many thanks to FUEL PUMP & KILLER HENG. * ON ON *

JBHHH RUN No. 2179 (14-07-2010)
RUN AT THE END OF THE SCENIC RAINBOW PARK
Yes, that’s what TAMAN PELANGI INDAH means. A sizable crowd thronged the cul-de-sac at the arse-end of this new housing estate to grace HAUKAFOR and KAPILAN’S run. With the World Cup fever having subsided, the fans (more like punters) are coming back! Like all Wednesdays, the pre-run chit-chat covers more topics than the Malaysian Parliament while the takraw-tribe was going about their boisterous ball-kicks, blaming one another for the foibles and fumbles!
The Hares somewhat started the run before 1800 hour and that led to some misplaced trepidation that it was going to be a longie! Initially the trail forked left after the silvery protruding pipe-joint. A group of geriatric strollers led by Botak Yeng and Ajinomoto chose a parallel path near the pipe and encroached into the revived housing-estate while the paper-followers went up the great undulations of the buried gas-pipe. This arduous ascent enervated the MROPs who were all totally exhausted upon reaching the First Check. Due to the energy-sapping climb the checkers were all too lethargic to fan out far and this resulted in the connection being found rather late. It was ASSASSIN HENG to the rescue and he sprinted off to maintain his kiasu lead! Paper roamed the deep interior of what seemed to be the Tiram Estate, but the two dog-eating Hares spared us any further tribulations and made a very premature turn eastwards towards the direction of Puteriwangsa. A superfluous Second Check midway was rather nondescript and one of the FROPs (I think it was IRONMAN) broke it even before Flintstone could pull up his dick for an elephantine pee! Paper led all the way on the gravel road until we came below the hill-top fane and soon the reds appeared. The home trail indeed came out behind Puteriwangsa, Puteri Park to be exact. The first runner home was Assassin in about I hour and the rest followed in quick succession.
Back at the WAGON, there were melons aplenty and two boxes of mee-siam and mee-goreng to quell the pangs of hunger and a big pot of bean soup to quench the thirst. After satiating the tummies and the cleansing our corporeal souls with ablutions the crowd congregated religiously for the rituals to begin. The sweet GM ordered the Quad participants to the fore for the SwIng Low and then penalised the boat-race team for losing the challenge trophy! The Whip this week was catching victims rather spontaneously, many a time influenced by the hecklings of the mob! Botak Yeng was the chief rabble-rouser! The long-windedness of the Whip was rather wearisome at times and by the time the floor opened it was nigh chow-time!
The On-On was at this wayside eatery down the road and the grub was well worth the 10 bucks per head. The generous Hares contributed three bottles per table and the crowd, especially Mongol’s dipsomaniac table drank as if there is no tomorrow! Thanks for the mediocre run and the lovely evening and the delectable On-On.

Run No. 2179 07-07-2010

Hare : Sludge & Rotiman

Run-site : Central Label Sri Plentong (Ah Pooi’s factory)

It has been awhile that we were at this run-site and similar to previous time,
it was drizzling when the run started. But that didn’t deter us the die hard
hashers – come rain come shine, the run will go on. ON ON !!
This time, the entry point was beside the Hitachi factory and into the
plantation and return behind Ah Pooi’s factory. It was a good run with 2 far
apart checks.
Back at the runsite, golden crisps of sweet potatoes and curry puffs greeted us
together with sweet wrappings of glutinous rice.
By seven odds, the FRBs were back.
Circle was called by Joint Master Flinstone.
Commercial by Itchy Kang had fallen to deaf ears.
Our once-in-a-while appearance Whip – Jackass took over the circle and gave a
boring lecture of “LOVE”.

Those short of it were iced.
Mongol’s ass kissed the block of ice for his concoction of beer & hard liquor
that sent him drunk and landed in the drain the previous week. Abandon by his
buddies.
On On was at Bai Her – Taman Molek.
If not for the hares’ subsidy, what would you expect out of a 6 course meal for
a mere 10 bucks.

Thank you hares of the week…..ON! ON!

JBHHH RUN No. 2177 (30-06-2010)
THE OLD DEVIL AND WASHER’S RUN, NOT TOO DEVILISH AND NOT MUCH TO WASH

Virgin Hares OLD DEVIL and WASHER set this commendable run at SERI ALAM BIG VALLEY
RANCH with an army of co-hares led by FLINTSTONE and ITCHY KANG, with cameo
appearances of SEE THROUGH and ZHUMICHONG and many other hangers-on who tagged
along for the sake of the Hares’ free beer and bakuteh! These mercenary
bastards were there early having a party while the runners drove in. In fact it
was rather surprising to see so many cars even at the turn of 1700 hr. These
Hares must be damn popular or perhaps they have SMS to everyone to come early
for the beer party!

The run was a new twist to the old tale; instead of covering the usual terrain to
the left of the equestrian paddocks, the Hares brought us up to the erstwhile
Galaxy Tower for a brief ramble along the shady path below the hill. A quick
descent to the quarry area saw a huge contingent of SCBs beating an early
retreat. The paper-adherents surged forward to the heart of the dusty
Transcrete Quarry; Botak Yeng unabashedly directed traffic at a pivotal
junction that separated the men from the boys! He beckoned to Indomee to follow
paper up the steep slope while he led his band of merry-men on a walk following
the lorry tracks! From below we could espy the front-runners scaling the alpine
heights in an Indian file! The SCBs finally met the frontrunners at the First
Check which almost snafu the run! Lao Chee, Ironman, CCB and a host of checkers
descended on the foothills cursing and swearing that they had run a full circle
to no avail; paper was finally found atop a rocky escarpment and the chase then balanced its way on the
edge on the perilous precipices!. One-Night-Stand was seen posing a
One-Man-Stand atop a cliff trying to figure out how to come down; some wise guy
hailed at him to take a dive! The runners then ventured into the high-tension
area and departed from the rocks and went into the palms. The Second Check was
laced with three off-shoots! According to ASSASSIN HENG the blasted check came
with a bonus of three ‘sub-checks’, but this didn’t fool the FROPs as most of
old cocks know this terrain like the folds of their scrota! Where the Third
Check was eludes the memory of this scribe, but suffice it to say the front
Olympians broke it even before Bulldog could lift his leg for a pee! The GM and
her entourage comprising her escort, (or paramour?), GOUXIONG were stranded
after the third check and came back rather late with mouthful of expletives! Were
they lost because they were having a romantic frolic off-paper!? That you have
to ask them!

Back at the site there was plenty of mee-siam and curry-puffs to even satiate the
horses in the corral! And soon the complaints evaporated like the horses’
urine! Circle was for once whipped by, (who else?), the Whip-lah! He made a rare
appearance and did a credible job whipping up some cream in his unique style,
with the most unlikely and unexpected offenders being roped in for offences
which only he can perceive! It was a welcome change. The GM closed proceedings
at the usual hour and we re-gathered at FOO TOO for the grub which was
generously declared FOC by the Hares and once again the crowd was bought over!
A BIG KAMSIAH AND ON-ON!

It was hot today but that did not dampen the spirit of 80 odd hashmen who showed up at the runsite. Of the two hares, Koh Kiam Chai was a veteran runner, so , we were expecting a little bit more on the run. ON ON was called at six pm and the SCBs and FRBs start running on the road to the runsite. In trail was a good 3km ‘motorbike’ ( a term used by JBHHH to describe a monotonous open flat trail, as if you can lay the run on a motorbike) run before we finally enter the forest. We had quite a few guest from Skudai HHH with familiar faces such as Teh Kaya and Karat. There is also Phua Cho Kai from Kulai HHH, a more familiar face on facebook that has been facebooking all the hash drama. First check was discovered by him and at this stage, we could see our FRBS such as Si Pay Song, Iron Man, Wonder Woman and Anti Climax dashing forward.

The trail took us across the railroad into a vegetable farm and second check. The FRBs managed to break the check at the far end of the farm and from here we crossed the highway. There was plenty of running, we later found out that the trail was about 11km long with three checks.

Soh Arse and Iron Man took a good lead and reached home in 1 hr and 20mins. See Pay Song arrived around 1hr and a half. Last runner arrived at 8.00pm. This would have been classified as a ‘hash shit’.

Our hash whip Jack Arse was picking up speed. Disco, after a long absence, took the floor open section and as expected, long cock was put on ice…old habits die hard…

On On ON was at the Impian Emas restaurant, a good six tables. Noticibly, one table was filled by Skudai chapter, a strong support they show for Kok Kiam Chai. Thank you hares for the good run, food and fun..

This was a good combination of two senior hash man. Even the names suggest they are both tough enough for each other. Both are veteran die hard runners and unknown to all, Wonder Woman is also a good drinker… a hash trait that is now tracing the footpath of the dinosaurs.

Driving to this runsite is so natural as a fish to water, name me any Johor hash man who has not been here. So, trying to set a run at this dumpsite of various hash trails is no easy task, but the hares did a good job and I also learn a trick or two about setting runs.

The in trail was a no nonsense, over the highway, by the Indian temple , a straight A to B run. This took a good 20 minutes run before coming to the first check. I don’t know who broke the check but I can guess it to be a combination of Si Pay Song, Cuci Jamban, G String or Fuel Pump. You know lah, myself is a licensed short cutter, straight run, how to short cut? The next section of the trail took us to some uncharted territories. Kudos, the hares managed to find virgins in a whorehouse. From here, it felt as if we were running in a half circular pattern towards the in trail again and then comes second check. Again, another half circular trail away from the in trail and back to third check and home. I later found out from the hare that this is called a ‘B’ trail. A very ingenious idea, curve back to the in trail so that the SRB (slow running bastards) can catch up. Good great idea.

One noticeable guest today was Ah Pui, on a sales entourage for Seletar Do. His business was good, a strong 20 plus order from JBHHH despite a higher damage of RM150. In Sing$ it is not much. Our circle was livelier today with a few eye openers. If you understand hash, you get on down for no reasons or made up reasons. Throw away your coat and tie image from the office, let loose and have fun. How do you know if you pass the acid test in hash? Simple…..A true hash man is annoyed if he does not get on downed, ,green horns get mad if they do……which category is you ?Anyway, to the hares , thanks for the good run, good food and best of all good fun….

JB HHH RUN No. 2170 (12th May, 2010)
CATHAY ANG AND EFF-U’S CARBON COPY RUN
It was the third consecutive week that we congregated at the BIG VALLEY RANCH in SERI ALAM; are we running out of terrains or are the hares nowadays simply too indifferent to scout and recce new areas? Despite the boring monotony, more than 80 turned up to give face to CATHAY ANG and his twin hare EFF-U. In the sultry weather the takraw-tribe was having a raucous time achieving records of sorts; their antics even caught the appreciative eye of Mian-see, who stood by, mesmerised by their deftness! Before the onslaught the Seri Alam management even sent a camera crew to take a group-shoot for publicity! Look out for it in the CNN!
Come 1800 hr the Hares flagged us of towards the lower end of the equestrian paddocks and off the motley crowd strolled, with few kiasu-bastards sprinting to the fore as if an Olympic gold-medal awaits! The run was for the most parts quite screwed-up due to the profusion of the previous weeks’ paper! Even the start, after we ventured into the sandy patch, was riddled with some confusion; the pack scattered like rats in all directions to forage for the elusive connection. In the event it was the SCBs who found the strips clinging on to some bushes and only then did the run begin in earnest. After a brief bash in the bush, paper descended onto the wide track (the Jalan Ah Fook of this estate!) and took to the right. Midway along this track the paper veered left towards the direction of the poultry farm and the durian plantation. The first two checks were easily ferreted out by our localised Yankee Moh Mun Thai; no problem indeed! According to this fleet-footed Kwailoh, after the second check the run simply was a carbon-copy of last week’s. The lazy hares unabashedly traced the same routes and brought us to the vast expanse of the dusty quarry and then followed the Seri Alam main thoroughfare to base! Most of the front steeds galloped home in a matter of 45 to 50 minutes! What an anti-climax it was! To the virile athletes upfront it was like a premature ejaculation! In any case the hares made amends by providing us with succulent watermelons and an array of kuehs to quell the hunger and thirst or perhaps to shut us up! Like all weekly runs, there are always mixed reactions, the strollers will swear it was an excellent run, the serious athletes will curse it for being just a tickle to their physical prowess; and so be it!
CIRCLE was punctuated with a load of commercials, so much so that many non-English speakers found it hard to follow the plethora of events that Itchy Kang was announcing! Perhaps next time we should insert them in the Sin Chew Jit Poh! In the absence of the Whip Jack-ass (which is becoming regular phenomenon), HANDSOME took centrestage; in fact this ex-Whip hasn’t lost his touch and he was hilarious to the core! His spontaneity in catching offenders kept the circle-proceedings rather fluid and continuous. Well done! The one-ring circus was over by 8.45 and we took a circuitous drive to FOO TOO in RINTING for the On-On. With the telecast of the Thomas Cup live, all tables were glued to the box cheering our Malaysian team against the Danes. (The final score: Malaysia won 3-2). Syabas! Ten per head was collected and there were copious amounts of the golden brew to imbibe until we become legless! Thanks for the beers but lay a better run next year! ON-ON
