Hare : Iron Man and Wonder Woman Runsite: Impian Emas

This was a good combination of two senior hash man. Even the names suggest they are both tough enough for each other. Both are veteran die hard runners and unknown to all, Wonder Woman is also a good drinker… a hash trait that is now tracing the footpath of the dinosaurs.

Driving to this runsite is so natural as a fish to water, name me any Johor hash man who has not been here. So, trying to set a run at this dumpsite of various hash trails is no easy task, but the hares did a good job and I also learn a trick or two about setting runs.

The in trail was a no nonsense, over the highway, by the Indian temple , a straight A to B run. This took a good 20 minutes run before coming to the first check. I don’t know who broke the check but I can guess it to be a combination of Si Pay Song, Cuci Jamban, G String or Fuel Pump. You know lah, myself is a licensed short cutter, straight run, how to short cut? The next section of the trail took us to some uncharted territories. Kudos, the hares managed to find virgins in a whorehouse. From here, it felt as if we were running in a half circular pattern towards the in trail again and then comes second check. Again, another half circular trail away from the in trail and back to third check and home. I later found out from the hare that this is called a ‘B’ trail. A very ingenious idea, curve back to the in trail so that the SRB (slow running bastards) can catch up. Good great idea.

One noticeable guest today was Ah Pui, on a sales entourage for Seletar Do. His business was good, a strong 20 plus order from JBHHH despite a higher damage of RM150. In Sing$ it is not much. Our circle was livelier today with a few eye openers. If you understand hash, you get on down for no reasons or made up reasons. Throw away your coat and tie image from the office, let loose and have fun. How do you know if you pass the acid test in hash? Simple…..A true hash man is annoyed if he does not get on downed, ,green horns get mad if they do……which category is you ?Anyway, to the hares , thanks for the good run, good food and best of all good fun….

JB HHH RUN No. 2170 (12th May, 2010)
CATHAY ANG AND EFF-U’S CARBON COPY RUN
It was the third consecutive week that we congregated at the BIG VALLEY RANCH in SERI ALAM; are we running out of terrains or are the hares nowadays simply too indifferent to scout and recce new areas? Despite the boring monotony, more than 80 turned up to give face to CATHAY ANG and his twin hare EFF-U. In the sultry weather the takraw-tribe was having a raucous time achieving records of sorts; their antics even caught the appreciative eye of Mian-see, who stood by, mesmerised by their deftness! Before the onslaught the Seri Alam management even sent a camera crew to take a group-shoot for publicity! Look out for it in the CNN!
Come 1800 hr the Hares flagged us of towards the lower end of the equestrian paddocks and off the motley crowd strolled, with few kiasu-bastards sprinting to the fore as if an Olympic gold-medal awaits! The run was for the most parts quite screwed-up due to the profusion of the previous weeks’ paper! Even the start, after we ventured into the sandy patch, was riddled with some confusion; the pack scattered like rats in all directions to forage for the elusive connection. In the event it was the SCBs who found the strips clinging on to some bushes and only then did the run begin in earnest. After a brief bash in the bush, paper descended onto the wide track (the Jalan Ah Fook of this estate!) and took to the right. Midway along this track the paper veered left towards the direction of the poultry farm and the durian plantation. The first two checks were easily ferreted out by our localised Yankee Moh Mun Thai; no problem indeed! According to this fleet-footed Kwailoh, after the second check the run simply was a carbon-copy of last week’s. The lazy hares unabashedly traced the same routes and brought us to the vast expanse of the dusty quarry and then followed the Seri Alam main thoroughfare to base! Most of the front steeds galloped home in a matter of 45 to 50 minutes! What an anti-climax it was! To the virile athletes upfront it was like a premature ejaculation! In any case the hares made amends by providing us with succulent watermelons and an array of kuehs to quell the hunger and thirst or perhaps to shut us up! Like all weekly runs, there are always mixed reactions, the strollers will swear it was an excellent run, the serious athletes will curse it for being just a tickle to their physical prowess; and so be it!
CIRCLE was punctuated with a load of commercials, so much so that many non-English speakers found it hard to follow the plethora of events that Itchy Kang was announcing! Perhaps next time we should insert them in the Sin Chew Jit Poh! In the absence of the Whip Jack-ass (which is becoming regular phenomenon), HANDSOME took centrestage; in fact this ex-Whip hasn’t lost his touch and he was hilarious to the core! His spontaneity in catching offenders kept the circle-proceedings rather fluid and continuous. Well done! The one-ring circus was over by 8.45 and we took a circuitous drive to FOO TOO in RINTING for the On-On. With the telecast of the Thomas Cup live, all tables were glued to the box cheering our Malaysian team against the Danes. (The final score: Malaysia won 3-2). Syabas! Ten per head was collected and there were copious amounts of the golden brew to imbibe until we become legless! Thanks for the beers but lay a better run next year! ON-ON
