The Chinese Seventh Month Hungry Ghost Celebration aka Hantu Run

The festive of the Seventh Month is practiced by the Chinese to appease the spirits of the dead. JBHH style is done with a traditional run that starts at 6.00pm. Food is served buffet style at the runsite and at 8.00pm circle is called to order. Normal circle activities is cut short and there was no whipping as we have to proceed with the auction of the items. The proceeds of this auction is a charity drive which a big portion will go to organizations in needs. This year , we donated two checks to two school, one a vernacular school and another a school for the specially needs. We also auction off a plague in which the money will go off to another school.
Beers and food were served a plenty and more than 50 items were auctionned off. Obviously , the beers were doing their job considering the price of some of the items auctioned....With plenty of food offering and incense, not only the living were having a good time that night... on on .
