Coca-Cola

Chai Kaow

RUN NO: 2215

WHEN: 20th April 11

HARES: Coca-Cola & Chai Kow

WHERE: SERI ALAM

HOW: Take Pasir Gudang Highway, exit at Seri Alam.Keep left and follow the road towards Christine Golf Club.Look for HHH signs.

Run No : 2219 20th April 2011
Hares: Chai Kow and Coca Cola
If you mention Seri Alam, its second nature that these low IQ hash men will drive to the horse riding school. These days, this site has become a construction site, trampled with dirt laden Lorries disrupting our circle. So, the hares made a last minute decision and moved over to the KL University. Yes, a decision not enforced with hash sign thus leaving the whole herd at the riding school hunting high and low for the hares.
Seeing that the runsite was empty, Chai Kow woke up from sleep walking and drove to the horse riding to lead the convoy over.

The Co hares contract was awarded to Ithcy Kang and his gang. Yogi, back from Australia, was so eager to trod along that he will do it for a hot meal and blanket. This old fart will practically dangle along with any co hare in any chapter. The trail today was a close copy of the previous run here ( aka Itchy Kang’s run)
with more rubber estate. First check was in a palm oil plantation, it was a circular check. As we know this area so well, it was easily broken by Phua Cho Kai. This chap is one hell of a fast runner and also has age to his advantage. The trail went on the high tension pylons and this was where second check was. This wase more tricky as the FRBs were expecting a right direction towards home whereas the actual trail was on the left. Phua Cho Kai checked too far ahead and ran back commenting that he hit home trail. Wonder Woman and team (aka G string, Cuci Jamban) found the trail. From here, its all rubber estate territory. Full of mosquitoes, unevern terrains with dangling roots ever eager to snatch your ankles. To add salt to injury, the rain soiled the run paper and made it hard to find. Kiasu Kong Siew while trying to keep up with the
pack, lost track of the trail and almost got lost. His comment later was ‘ I was so scared inside there alone and when I could not see paper, I tracked back and saw Arse Hole who finally led me out.’

Third check must be easy since by the time I arrived, it was already broken. My guess is that our Kwai Low Moh Mun Tai must have broken it because he was one of the first to arrive home and I could sense he was bragging about it. Many FRBs were thrown off trail. Phua Cho Kai, Wonder Woman, Iron Man got out later than usual. The home trail was also littered with SCBs led by Ah Yo Yo, Money Khoo and Botak Yeng.

We had to hold the circle on the dirt patch since we can’t hold it on the road and block traffic. Old and grumpy Sex Can complained that it was too far to walk to the beer wagon. His complained was finally drowned by cheers of five crates of free beer. The circle buzzed on as usual with the mentioned of the oncoming Gua Musang trip and the Singapore Thirsdae anniversary run.JBHHH signed up a bus load for the later event.

For ON ON, we had to drive down to Johor Jaya. By the time food was served, it was almost close to 10pm. But with good hash spirit, nothing can take the joy out of us especially on a Wednesday with a song that goes ‘…if you never get Fxxx on a Wednesday night, you never get Fxxxed at all……ON ON

HOW: Take Kota Tinggi Road, after Taman Gaya turn left into Taman Pelangi Indah.Go all the way straight & look for HHH signs

JBHHH RUN No. 2218 (13-04-2011)
THE SENIOR CITIZENS¡¯ EVENING WALK
The haring duo MAHARAJAH and SCREWDRIVER are the two senior-most members of
our Hash with a combined age of more than 130! Coupled with the co-hares, our imported
senior Aussie YOGI BEAR and the ¡®now-back-in-service¡¯ AJINOMOTO, it was indeed a
geriatric affair! The run-site at the arse-end of PELANGI INDAH is a familiar ground and
not much was expected from this oft-trodden terrain. BABA JAMES @ SCREWDRIVER
was there very early to do his duty taking the roll-call and broadcasting (don¡¯t forget, he
used to work in the BBC!) his oldies; that¡¯s about all he did, I suppose!
The run started with a stroll towards the pipeline and onto the foothills of the lofty peaks in
the background; Mongol led his tribe on a canter on the lower route to the posterior of
Puteri Park and teased the paper-adherents as they came down on the craggy path near the
quarry. At the wide gravel road paper took an abrupt left turn heading due south. Halfway
along this pebbled path the trail veered right into the thicket; this was the substance of the
run. All three checks within I was told was ferreted out by IRONMAN with the young Phua
Chu Kang (not from Singapore, but from Kulai) giving him a run for his money! In fact this
sturdy young athlete was the first to romp home in just under the hour. The home-trail
predictably came back via the new houses of JP PERDANA and then on to the silvery pipe.
The FROPs thought it was a stroll, the MROPs surmised it was just about sufficient to work
up a good thirst for the beer while the SCBs thought? Well, these bastards have no right to
venture an opinion!
Back at the beer-wagon, Screwdriver brought a pot of cereal broth courtesy of his wife
Lena, who was once our very active and vociferous ex-Harriet!; there was also a box of
mee-siam to make sure that we fill our tummies so that we eat less at the On-On!
The Circle started of course with the boring rendition (and vulgar gesticulation) of the
Swing Low and was followed by LSB belting out two hash hymns which the bemused
crowd wasn¡¯t very amused and didn¡¯t comprehend! After the Hare and the co-hares¡¯
mandatory ice-sittings and some brief commercials, the WHIP rolled into action and he
was, as in every week, the prima donna of the evening! This stand-up comic should be in
Hollywood! His antics and his hilarious impromptu translation (for the sake of Hokkiens
like Moh Mun Thai) were too bombastic for the plebeian crowd! PANG JEO took the floor
and iced a few of the naughty men who tried to get fresh with her! The scorn of a woman!
KIM-CHI proved to be a popular choice for the block and the poor gal sat until the deep
freeze almost infibulated her two-piece treasure trove!
The On-On at SAN-LOW in Taman Gaya was very well-attended and we monopolised the
whole eatery! This very hash-friendly restaurant was able to churn up some good grub and
is definitely worth our patronising; 10 per head were collected and there were more grub
and booze than the greediest glutton can consume or imbibe! KAMSIAH BABA! NANDI
MAHARAJAH!

WHERE: SERI ALAM

HOW: Take Pasir Gudang Highway, exit Bandar Seri Alam, look for hash signs

Run No: 2215 23rd March 2011

Hares: Cummi Chong and Wobbly Dick

This is probably going to be the last time we set foot on this runsite at Seri Alam Horse Riding. The once lowly trampled four lanes road is now stampeded by construction lorries and disgruntled land owners who are so excited about us parking up their space and blocking traffic. The Hares had to double in as traffic
wardens to usher in the low IQ hashmen, who are made worse when they are behind the wheel These rodents seem to like to park their vehicle to occupy the nooks and cranny that we left behind to let traffic through. Oh, what am I saying, you wouldn’t be in Hash if you had high IQ anyway. So, we are all part of
this happy family. No matter how you want to outshine in this pack , you are still either the scum in the scumbag or the shit in the shit pile.

The run got off to a good start at 6pm with one of the hares warning of a lot of false trails, a sign of discontentment that his partner had been the guilty one. First check was at the power line and it was a big decision time as this is the point where the trail would make it clockwise or anti clockwise. It was neither
and FRB Phua Cho Kai was so happy that it was straight ahead. This is now rubber estate aka mosquito territory. Either you outrun them or you will run out of blood. Second check was a double check and took a visit to an illegal Indonesian fraternity equipped with their own architectural design, food supplies, live stocks and environmental services ie toilet. The whole idea of a double check here, one before this village and one just after is for our hashmen to savor their privileged lifestyle which they have all taken for granted.

The running trail now takes through some bushy areas. It wasn’t all running on estate road, it cuts back in and out into unknown territory and event through some stream crossings. The ones with the clean shoes obviously did not make it through the full run. Third check was in an open quarry and in no time Uncle Woon broke it with his little sense of direction but mostly kiasuism. . This run actually went anti clockwise around the construction area for the new MARA.

The circle became a rectangle because of the limited space. Handsome took to the floor, earmarked for the role of hash whip that he will finally take over from our Jack Arse who had raised both hands in surrender.
Now I shouldn’t be complaining , listening to an old broken radio over and over again is definitely not inspiring to the senses. We are suffering the same fate of our nation. The talented and the gifted have already migrated to greener pastures, abandoning the jar with the lowest level ‘well connected’ like layer of
silt. With a few dollars in their pockets and a lowly exposed ‘ mountain tortoise’ mentality, the jar is their world.

The food alas was the antidote. With the ever happy and generous boss of Foo Too joining in the beer binging, what else can I say….. Thanks to the hares for the good fuck up…. Shall I say this is good hash language ?

Run No 2214 Tong Fang Hong and Johnny Walker
Such is the stress these days identifying a run site wot hasn¡¯t been persistently oversubscribed it is taking its toll on the senior members. This week it put Johnny¡¯s partner in hospital, I know all about this it happened to me at the same time last year, our best wishes to Tong Fang Hong ¨C get well soon.
The traffic lights were out at Plentong T junction but all the usual suspects arrived on time
greeted by Johnny in his best pants and shoes. The Takraw mob was already trying to put the ball on the factory roof or destroy the air cons in the process. Other entertainment was provided by the truck drivers entering the adjacent factory with added difficulty provided by our member¡¯s illegal parking and locking of car keys inside the new car, I didn¡¯t get the name of this ¡®person¡¯ (read prick) but I¡¯m sure his name will be revealed in due course.
So on to the run, I¡¯m really pleased to say that the emergency hares Flintstone and Jimmy did a splendid job and doubly delighted because they will be setting my run next week. Johnny set us off up the mud bank then down through the thorns and onto the road, I began to tire already but like an exocet missile I got locked on to a cute pair of buns in black shorts running just ahead. Then alas like all the other women in my life she ran off and left me, out of sight before we got into the plantation and there must have been more than twenty Chinamen in front of me by this time, the plan wasn¡¯t working. Anyway I huffed and puffed up the hill to the first check, the front runners had already found it and were off again, now down the other side of the hill to the second check, the fit bastards had found it again and were off to the races.
Charging further downhill I managed to catch up to the mystery buns at the third check by the sungai which was still being sorted, I guessed correctly and when the on-on was called I was just behind the front runners but in the middle of the short cutters. Up another hill to the fourth check, too easy then round the corner and the factories were in sight, all downhill from here, onto the road for a 1km run in with plenty of spectators. Some nice munchies, toh foo and poppiah provided to keep the fat bastards going until the onon grub.
Circle, what circle must have been the squarest circle I¡¯ve ever seen, should have put the whole committee on ice for that. Songs lead by Moh Mun Tai, Hares and Co Hares on ice, then acting whip Handsome took over to penalize the unsuspecting for their dithering around trying to park or for having shitty shoes, Choo Choo got it for Shoo Shooing her Skudai guest away. Then some Mandarin story saw Soh Ass, Safety Boot and Johnny Walker set records for longest time on ice. One poor couple and Moh Mun Tai got it for some obscure reason followed by Rotiman and Johnny just for being there. I stopped recording by this time but distinctly remember the GM admitting to having followed three men around off paper, she¡¯s some gal our GM. I don¡¯t know how many did the run but I counted 59 in the circle plus Ironman at the wagon makes an even sixty (60).
Circle closed and the members like the start of an old Le Mans race sprinted to their cars for Whacky Races on down to Taman Molek at another new found eatery, well it was new to me.
The grub was delicious and complimented by two free bottles of beer per table, somehow we got three so I said to hell with the cholesterol and high sugar and a good night was had by all.

JBH3 AGM RUN 2011

From Cola
RUN NO: 2213 WHEN:09th Mac 11 HARES:HANDSOME 012-7887966/BIG BUM016-7721448 (AGM RUN) WHERE: TAMAN DESA TEBRAU HOW: Take J.B.-Kota Tinggi Road. After Aeon Tebrau City, take the exit on your left into Taman Desa Tebrau.Go all the way straight & look for HHH signs.

JBHHH 2213-AGM RUN (09-03-2011)

A TOWELLED-DOWN AGM RUN

The turnout for an AGM RUN was small by our standards; perhaps some of the absentees were malingering for fear of getting elected! Or perhaps the run-site at DESA TEBRAU wasn’t very hashy anymore as all nooks and corners are now plastered up with development! Just as the takraw-team wound up their ruckus in the breezy afternoon, the time for the run arrived and the OCs HANDSOME LAW and BIG BUM, (obviously not the Hares) shooed us off to the water-tower. This routine beginning saw many gangs of SCBs doing what they do best very early. A large platoon led by our one-arm bandit Mongol wentfor a stroll along the pipe, which incidentally was the home-trail.

The paper-adherents meanwhile penetrated the mossie-infested rubber off the corner-fencing of the Watertower for an involuntary bout of blood donation! This sojourn in Rubber-land was in fact the substance of the run. All three checks were within. The First, on a wooded track that forked left, was sniffed out by MOH MUNTHAI or someone who sounded like the Yankee. The tailing pack then followed Mr. Moh to literally beat around the bush until we came to the brink of a stream for the Second Check; this again was easily ferreted out by IRONMAN and we chased this balding bloke until we could espy the roofs of the houses of JP-Perdana. The Third and final check was also another piece of cake; by then almost every idiot knew the direction home; and so it didn’t take long for a non-idiot like MOBIL ONE to fish out the connection; we followed this scrawny Hakka to hurdle the boom-gate and eventually out to the PUB pipe.
It was a short run tailor-made for the AGM; a wise move as the Committee didn’t want any untoward mishaps on this important day. As an AGM-token a fluffy large towel was given out to one and all to dry our rain- and sweat-soaked anatomies or perhaps to portent of the towelled-down AGM to come!

CIRCLE saw the rare appearance of our elected Whip who, as usual, was at his longwinded best! In his typical nonchalant manner he started his ‘ Blahler and Sister’ Hokglish speech and ranted on and on (and on and on….!) about perks of being in the committee; all past GMs were hauled up for public display and so were the past On-Sec and On-Cash; so much so by the time the floor opened, there wasn’t enough ondown beers! Might as well, as the GM had early said the Circle will have to close at 8.30 in view of the AGPU (Annual General Piss-Up!). The Whip was himself whipped by Flintstone and so were the punters
(led by Bochialan) who tried to influence the AGM outcome with heavy betting!

The AGM this year moved up-market at this sparkling new restaurant called CRAB WORLD, and mind you, despite the name, the food wasn’t crap! Like all our AGMs, the cacophony overwhelmed the proceedings and everyone was blabbering away while the supposed serious business of electing a new Government was in process! By some machinations between Flintstone and LSB and in between the fish and the pork, all the pork barrel issues were settled. Despite their screaming protestations ICECREAM’s
outgoing regime became incoming again! CONGRATS! WE PROMISE YOU ALL OUR SUPPORT
FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR SCROTA! ON-ON! HAVE ANOTHER EVENTFUL HASHING YEAR!
ESTABLISHED 1820, STILL GOING STRONG!

JBH RUN

JBHHH RUN No. 2212 (02032011)
ICECREAM AND TRIPLE-FIVE, THE PARTY COMES ALIVE!
A huge crowd thronged the wide road in front of the BIG VALLEY RANCH in SERI ALAM until the parking was spilling into the old equestrian club; the road barricades aggravated the situation. There were visitors from all over Johor who came to grace this special occasion of our gracious GM ICECREAM and of course his not-so-gracious twin-Hare TRIPLE-FIVE. But the latter graciously invited a bevy of beauties to help in the marking and doling out the tees.
Just when the crowd was teeming to the brink of the road, the time for the onslaught arrived and so the Hares startedus off towards the usual dirt road after the boom-gate; this erstwhile eroded path is now a well-levelled thoroughfare for the humongous trucks that plied to the construction-site behind. In fact the entire terrain is now bulldozed until it is totally unrecognizable! Whatever remains is the rubber on the right, near the pylons; and that was where the run centred. The earlier shower helped wash away the irritating mossies and the salubrious air was indeed very conducive for an hour of brisk jogging. The in-trail veered left into a cluster of bushes and was heading perilously to the open construction site; but it pulled back to the more wooded areas to give us some semblance of a proper hash trail. All three checks were ferreted out by our vintage runner, IRONMAN. This fleet-footed baldie had laid numerous runs here and he knew every palm and every twig! Suffice to say the red-trail came out the same way we went in; most of the FROPs came out in jolly good time to partake of the multifarious victuals that were laid out. Adeviant group led by Itchy Kang went gallivanting into No-Man’s Land and one of the unfortunate followers Pang Jeo later exacted retribution when she took the floor and pilloried his wayward guide! As the GM was the Hare, JM FLINTSTONE chaired the proceedings and he was up in his elements and captivated the attention with his wisecracks; but unfortunately his repetitive reference to the ’lauchabors’ engaged the wrath of the scornful grande dames and these Amazons rebuked the intransigent chauvinist to the ice and almost trigger off a Battle of the Sexes!
Woe-betide those who dare to cross shrews and vixens like Original, Kim Chi. Pang Jio and Coca Cola! It has become a regular affair that the elected Whip goes AWOL every week! Handsome stood in as the acting Whip, and he was definitely more entertaining! This roly-poly comic was hilariously clowning around and contributing much to the mirth. The visiting GMs were all ‘honoured’ for being cheapskates who only come for the GM’s free party and free tee! Screwdriver was on hand to warble the accompanying the on-down notes, but his strumming couldn’t keep pace with So Big’s tuneless fornicating gestures: ‘tang-tang-tang-tang, tang-tang-tang, Ooh-Aah’! Once again LSB and Yik were iced for no apparent reason! Just at the whims and fancies of Pang Jio! What blasphemy! The rectangle
Circle was over by 9 and we took a circuitous drive to FOO TOO in Rinting for the noisy grand banquet; the cacophony coupled with a sea of red made us look like an intimidating army of Thaksin supporters! The generous hares declared the Do FOC. Bulldog and his cronies chipped in to contribute two kegs of Guinness Draft and the
merriment on their table reached a real inebriated crescendo!
THANKS ICECREAM AND TRIPLE FIVE! MAY YOU REMAIN GM FOR LIVE! ON-ON

HARE : ITCHYT KANG & VERY GOOD
DATE : 23RD, FEB, 2011
VENUE : UNIVERSITY KUALA LUMPUR, SRI ALAM
ITCHY AND VERY GOOD RUN
On the way to the run side a lot of places rain heavy and caused the traffic jam. It was a new run side with new roads and a few lots of new buildings for University and quarters. When we reached the destination its no rain at all, I think the hares had sembayang kuat at the place.
Estimated about 50 members attend due to the Chengeh Festival in Johor Bahru town area. It was a yearly Chinese grant cerebration and organized over 100 years ago by the Old Temple of Johor.
A few Sepak Takraw kaki playing at the empty space. As usual the hare marking for attendant, Coca Cola busy around for collection of Johor Joint run.
On!On! was shouted and briefing by the hare for a 9+KM trail and ??? how many checks. Toward the quarry it has a very beautiful pond with Navy Blue colour of water and rockery as a background. Estimate deepness by 20 stories of water level.
It was a rabbit trail commence by Moh Mun Tai, its turn around the rubber estate and along the Kong Kong Reservoir. All checks were easily to break by the front runners. We backed to run side at about 7.35pm, consider a long run for us.
Plenty of Ang Ku Kuih with sweet and salty favour, Soon kuih, Banana cake and dragon fruits to fill the hungry hashers.
Circle start slightly late at 8.15pm due to long high way runs. As usual the Swing Low was song and almost 80% of members to sentenced with iced chair. Tonight a bit special , we had appointed 3 Ministry whip—Flinston,Moh Mun Tai and Soh Big to replaced absentee of Whip and Acting whip. Without the paper cups all the offenders were served with full tin of beer.
Congratulation to two members had achieved their runs. Very Good 700 Runs and Sex Can 200 Runs.
On on slightly far away from run side at Restaurant Muar ,Johor Jaya. 5 tables had occupy with the famous Asam Fish and delicious dishes were served. The generous hares free 2 bottles of beer to each table to brighten the night.
Lastly, thank you very much to hares and co-hares for good run, good food and good drinks.
Good Night , Bye Bye!!!

Johor Bahru Hash House Harriers Run 2203

Run No : 2203 Venue : Taman Pelangi Indah

Hares : Baba Chong Teck Siang / Mama
_____________________________________________________________________

Oh gosh, it's Pelangi Indah yet again
This is getting incredibly insane

It's getting into my wits
The choice was downright stupid

Isn't there a better place to run?
And have our weekly dose of fun

Look yonder and scour around
A virgin site will surely be found

Baba and Mama were the hares
"Bad choice? Ugh, who really cares"

At 6.00pm came the on-on sound
Ironman shot off like a hound

The terrain was ever so familiar
How can one get lost oh dear

Monkey hill nearby has been flattened
Short of space to run at every turn

Thousands of footprints have been left behind
Whose but yours and yours and mine

The PUB pipeline is a good marker
If you lose your way you must be a sucker

Traversing up hills and down the valleys?
Alas, the land has been shorn of its beauty

Back home the hares offered mee-siam
To keep any complainants "diam"

Circle was the usual mundane affair
Sad to say there ain't much flair

Just going through the motions
Without trying new innovations

At the end we had a good meal
For RM10-00 it was a steal

Have we seen the last of Pelangi Indah?
Don't ever bet your last dollar lah!

Johor Bahru Hash House Harriers Run 2202

RUN NO: 2202
WHEN: 22nd Dec 10
HARES: SOH ASS 018-7911111/LAW CHEE 016-7847426
WHERE: PONTIAN ROAD
HOW: Take J.B. – K.L. road, after Skudai turn left into Pontian Road, pass Taman Universiti or take North-south highway, after Kempas toll, exit at Skudai and turn right into Pontian road.Look for HHH signs.

JBHHH # 2202 (22-12-2010)
THE WINTER SOLSTICE RUN WITHOUT A PROPER END
The run-site was at the soggy compounds of a remote fane (福德宫) along the Pontian Road; for most of us, this is a new run-site and many missed the hidden ingress to the temple temenos even after the industrious Hares put up banners and signs way before the point; that goes to show hashers are bloody blind drivers that need re-tests!
Due to the Winter Solstice Festival (Dongzhi-冬至), the turnout was not expected to be large; but the reputation of the Hares, SOH ARSE (臀疮) and his fellow front-runner LAU-CHI (老妓) still attracted a sizable attendance. Some of the early-arrivals went straight to the altar to seek divine inspiration and mostly to beg for propitious numbers! Our Empat-ekor Towkay Handsome Law (寒酸佬) was doing a roaring business! This isolated fane now has a neighbouring Hindu Kovil and many like Dongfanghong(东方红 ) and Kimchi (金姬)were very wary and respectful not to park their jalopies in unsanctified positions lest they be accursed!
The run started innocuously behind the temple toilet; perhaps to indicate that it was going to be a shit of a run! The trail led us left into the rubber and after brief sojourn on the tapper’s track we came to the tarmac which is the road to the Orchid Valley. Paper then turned right onto the lallang-patch and veered diagonally at 11 o’clock. There were suppose to be three checks; but due to the confusion created by the many contingents of SCBs, the front-runners went helter-skelter at the Third Check; even with the chaperoning of the sweeping co-hare FLINTSTONE (火石)! Either he was doing a lousy job or the FROPs were very keh-khiang! The run really disintegrated into a snafu at this blighted third check and as the FROPs met with the many coteries of meddlesome SCBs, the co-hare persisted on leading the full-trailers back to the righteous path which some of them did; the rest just followed the sounds of Bulldozer’s (推土机) horn and negotiated a ravine and stroll home via the palm estate. A group wandered as far as the new prison and was thwarted by the high walls and the impenetrable jungles! What do you expect of the precinct of a prison? Even with the guidance of the co-hares the finishers came home well benighted; after all it was Winter Solstice, the day with the shortest daylight hours.
The hares bribed us with packets of nasi lemak and plenty of kuehs, including a big pot of Tangyuan soup to mark the festival and soon all the foibles and fumbles were sweetened in the dumpling consomme! The on-site speakers were blaring away with Christmas songs before the Circle; and after our ritual ablutions, our sweet GM-冰淇淋 called the circle to order with the warbling of Swing Low followed by a further (and more atrocious) warbling of hash hymns by LSB ( 老实碧客); the GM complained that he has lost his gusto after his long absence and put him on ice because of this frivolous reason! The WHIP again went AWOL and HANDSOME took over as the acting Whip; in fact he proved to be more hilarious and witty than the original! But Flintstone quite correctly penalised him for conducting the Circle like an MCA convention; once again LSB was singled out for public pillory for certain offences which were trumped up by his many ‘friends’! Though many departed the circle for their home festival, the small circle, as last week’s scribe poignantly noted, was more quality than quantity.
The On-On was at this wayside eatery in Kangkar Pulai called CHOO LIN (竹林)and the small place was totally dominated by our four tables; but the glare of the local hoods were indeed very intimidating! Luckily, the boss Mr. Chew-邹先生 is a kingpin in the kampong. This warong-style eatery though a bit down-market, was surprisingly able to churn up some delectable dishes! And to wash down the high cholesterol there were copious amounts of Carlsberg and also a bottle of Chivas to add on to the merriment and boost further inebriation! And all that was later generously declared FOC by the Hares! A BIG KAMSIAH; ZHU NI DONGZHI BUBU GAOSHENG; SHENGDAN PING AN; XING NIAN KUAI-LE!

This is going to be a short and easy hash trash, reflective of this run that is as uninspiring as the effort to set a hash run nowadays. To start it off, the runsite itself is a no brainer. How to run at Desa Tebrau nowadays ??? There is hardly any running ground and to add salt injury, we have been running there and Pelangi Indah ( same running ground albeit different parking ground) many weeks in tandem. Talk about complacency that is contaminating JBHHH, apparently the oldest hash in the world. The irony with these old hash farts is that Alzheimer has already set in and you can make theyl believe that they are the best hash in the world. Okay, this is my last comment on the runsite.
So, what do you expect about the turn out ? As low and short as this trash is going to be. Low effort, low expectation runsite and so low turn out. A busload left after the run which left our circle with only about 50 weak versus our usual of 100 strong. The irony was that the circle was easier to handle and that commanded focus. With attention on the circle, there was upbeat attempt by hashers to take on the floor open section and that added spice to the whole whipping ritual. Think about it, would you prefer a quality small crowd or a big bunch of juveniles that you have to use the hailers to roar to.???.....hmmm. that reminds me, is JBHHH now full of quality or quantity ?
The co hare Itchy Kang puts in a lot of effort in setting a tricky check but since there is no area to run at all, go in any direction and you will finally find the trail. As it goes, hit the pipeline again and you will know the home trail. Put a few retarded on this run and they will probably lead you out too.
ON ON ON was at Johor Jaya, not a usual place but we know it as Bo Chia Lan’s restaurant. Suddenly, we have five tables strong due to last minute turnout of few non starters who came to ‘support’ their triad hash brothers. They have to sit together, drink together and eat together. Soon they will sleep together at brokeback mountain. I never understood the word ‘support’ in Hash, I always thought I come to hash to rejuvenate myself. As if God wanted to punish this decaying hash, it rained heavily as the last dish was served. Maybe the rain was also to wash away the rubbish that I have written above but then its up to you to look at the essence of reality or dwell in ignorance. Afterall, I talk to my pigs this way everyday when I wash and feed them and they still sell at a good price, otherwise, how do I afford my new BMW and Mercedes ……

RUN NO: 2199 HARES: PINK PANTHER N KHOR BEE HONG
Run-site : Taman Desa Tebrau is one of three or four oft-selected venue for J.B. hash due
to its proximity to what I don't really know. There are myriads of run-sites dotted
everywhere for one to choose. Kong Kong is one. Therehasn't been a run there for a long
while. Yes its quite far and isolated I agree. But it would put a smug on Bulldog's face. No?
Pre-run : Hare Pink Panther has an ardent admirer in the form of sexy Dolly Parton No 1
who generously sponsored ang ku kway. A good number of members stole amorous glances
towards her and her larger than life boobs. The crowd size was nothing to crow
about.Slightly smaller than usual due to the school holidays. The missing ones are on
cruises and vacations.
The run : A few minutes after the flag-off it started to drizzle. You know the die-hards
would not be deterred, noteven by a downpour, what more a few drops of water. The slow
walkers and the short cutters made a u-turn and just made a few rounds at the park.
Someone overheard that it would be a short trail. But it was not to be. A number of runners
returned at around 7-30pm. Lesson learnt. Never never believe hashmen's talk. Its sort of a
second nature to them.
Circle : I am not going to write anything about the circle. Its the same stuff each week.
You have read it all the time. Hash whip or asst whip catches Tham Sook for icing. Later on
Tham Sook catches the whip in return. Next gm catches Handsome Lau. Handsome then
catches ex gm who then catches ex ex gm. It's cliche and mundane. Why couldn't they catch
those who seldom sit on ice so that they have a chance to drink the half plastic cup of free
beer? That would be variety I must say.
On on. : At Shin Jee Restaurant Taman Johor Jaya. Imust congratulate the hares for a good
selection of dishes. As always the hard drinkers created the most din and always the last to
leave. The social drinkers like me would prefer to take leave early. That is hashing lah. To
each his own. No imposing of will on anyone. Well thanks to Pink Panther and Khor Bee
Hong for an enjoyable evening. On On !

Johor Bahru Hash House Harriers Run 2198

RUN NO: 2198
WHEN: 24th Nov 10
HARES: INDOMEE 012-7100004 (DEEPAVALI RUN)
Members : RM30.00
Guests : RM50.00
WHERE: TAMAN PELANGI INDAH
HOW: Take Kota Tinggi Road, Taman Gaya turn left into Taman Pelangi Indah.Go all the way straight & look for HHH signs.

JBHHH RUN No. 2198 (24-11-2010)
THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS WITH A FOOD-GALORE!
The run-site was conveniently located at PELANGI INDAH to suit the OC INDOMEE who is the Penghulu of the Taman; this annual DEEPAVALI RUN was hosted by our 5 Hindu brothers (one Bayee included) and partly subsidised by our club and our levies. The initial slight drizzle drove many who had registered earlier to turn up late and the resultant effect was that the run started with a less-than-encouraging crowd, very unlike our usual horde of about hundred! After sheltering under the large marquee, the rain subsided for us to embark on our Deepavali stroll. Co-OC KANASAI gave us a briefing in Tamil which only Tongkat Ali understood! And off we went towards the pipeline.
The entire run was on very well-trodden and familiar terrain and MOH MUN THAI complained that the supposed three-check affair was reduced to two when our kiasu porcine Singaporean-guest BABI HUTAN stumbled onto the paper on the pipeline and truncated the trail substantially! The latter even had the audacity to brag that the run was no better that their Singapore Thirsdae pondan-trails! The start was through the derelict housing estate of JP PERDANA and then the paper took an abrupt turn over the stream, into the ubiquitous palms. The rest of the trail was a mundane wandering towards the quarry-end of the posterior of Puteri Park and rounding back over the craggy hinterland of the houses. The first finisher KAPILAN came back well within the hour; 80 % of the pack typically didn’t see any checks at all! Welcome to JBHHH!
The GM called the circle with the usual pendulous swinging ritual followed by the icing of our Hindu asses and followed by a brief announcement by the Inter-Sec and then followed by a promo from the GP GM about their upcoming celebration cum D n D. Mild pyrotechnics were lighted to illuminate the one-ring circus. However the substantial part of the Bollywood program was hijacked by Flintstone and his cohorts to delve into the goings-on at the Singapore Thirsdae D n D which proved to be too boring for the non-attendees to stomach! Perhaps next time such episodes should be given a quota at the circle! Not everyone was there! It is rather presumptuous that the trivial infractions of a few should interest the majority! Sanity was finally restored when Moh Mun Thai did a bit of prosecutions on the day’s offences; LSB and his G/F sat the longest as many of the former’s so-called comrades piled on his agony by amplifying and exaggerating his sins!
Due to the On-On being on-site, the Circle was prolonged until way past 9.20 before we broke up for the food-carnival! Indeed our Indian brethren did an excellent job! They compensated for the short run with a plenitude of victuals that can satiate an army! There were Fried Chicken and Porridge a’la Bochialan (GP) and dainty cakes a’la Kongkek followed by a vast array of Indian delicacies that included Roti Jala, Mamak mee-goreng, nasi kari, fried fish, mutton, veggies and endless sticks of satays! What a party it was! And to top it all a quality blue tee was given to commemorate the festival! Good show-lah bro! TO MAHARAJAH, INDOMEE, KANASAI, PAIMA, TODI-SAMY AND DISCO, NANDRI & SUKRIA!
