JBHHH RUN No. 2125 (01-07-09)
HARES: SEEPAYSONG AND ANTI-CLIMAX, RUN ALSO SEEPAYSONG! Lim Sui Keng (Seepaysong) and his faster half Ten Min Fong (Anti-climax) laid a very sensible run at their own backyard in Taman Indec (Berjaya Industrial Park). The turnout was phenomenal with so many guests from the fledgling Skudai Hash and some dog-eaters from Kulai. Seepaysong gave the usual pre-run briefing which, as usual too, fell on deaf ears. Like all runs here, it started with all of us hurdling over the berm and plunging into the ubiquitous palms. The trail was rather tame and circuitous which facilitated the SCBs to do their bidding effortlessly. There were four checks in all; the first was on the verge of a gully and paper was found across the chasm. The second was a backie near the veggie farm but due to familiarity of the terrain the front hounds sniffed out the connection without much ado. The third and the fourth were deep in the palm estate but were placed close by. Bulldozer, who was fondling his horn, unabashedly pressed it harder even though he was short-cutting. This in fact was an act of sabotage! SCBs should never hail the On-call! After descending from the last check, the red trail appeared on the long straight track that was in effect the ‘Jalan Ah Fook’ of this estate and the Indec houses were just at the tip. Back at the beer-wagon there was a vast array of finger-food that can even satiate a cow! Anti-climax is really a good kueh-maker! In fact some of the assortments of delicacies were personally made by her. As it was not a very long run, everyone came back in broad daylight and even had the luxury to indulge in some post-run gossips before washing up. Circle started with a one-minute’s silence for the demise of Free Beer’s mother and then the boring Swing Low was swung with the pungent durian-eaters taking the lead. Moh Mun Thai and Screwdriver sang a few hash hymns before the GM iced the Hares and their two slaves, AJINOMOTO and IRONMAN. The Whip was at his level best this week and was able to walk with a balanced gait after his gout is out! Due to the enthusiasm and over-exuberance of the Whip and the floor-takers, the Circle dragged on until 9.25 pm! The On-On was at 63 in Impian Emas and, as promised, there was a lucky draw courtesy of the generous hares; or was it a way to gain popularity? Perhaps Seepaysong should join politics! Anyway many thanks for the lovely On-On and the bottles you bought. Many Happy Returns to the July Babies!
